D🚫N’T BELIEVE THE HYPE
When politically-driven music comes to mind, nobody does it quite like Public Enemy. Chuck D, Flavor Flav, DJ Lord, Professor Griff, Khari Wynn and The Sk1 Group joined forces in 1982. Using their music to reach black youth culture, Public Enemy succeeded in making politically charged, thought-provoking anthems like “Fight The Power” and “911 Is A Joke”. In 2013, Public Enemy became only the fourth hip-hop act to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The group’s latest project, Man Plans God Laughs, was released in July 2015.
